disconnect the lines at the rail and see if you have pressure there. If not work your way back to the pump. If you do just swap rails with your old 3.0.

I was reading your other thread. You stated that you have some pressure, just not enough. Have you actually checked the pressure with a gauge? They are pretty cheap to buy and a good tool to have. You also stated that you had an issue with the banjo bolts. Is it possible the issue is there? You were getting flow at the filter. Are you getting the same flow where the lines are going into the rails? If your intake is already off it would be pretty easy to pull the rails and injectors to make sure they are clear.

Like they said, start at the pump and check every concurrent connection from there, filter, regulator, rail in, rail out, etc, etc.

The thing is the pump only creates flow not pressure. Pressure is resistance to flow if you have no resistance you will have no pressure this is why I suspect the pressure reg it creates the resistance in the flow to make pressure in the rail. If your lines are on correctly and the proper bolts are used its either your regulator or you have a leak or clog in the lines prior to the rails.

He's had some issues with the rails, and I thought I read in one of his threads that he cut the lines close to the motor, and repaired them.

I think you dun goofed somewhere in the lines, zach

No the lines are fine. if i prime the pump and undo the banjo bolt it will shoot out with alot of pressure. but it does not fill up the rail with that pressure which makes me think its the regulator.

Then you have found where the issue starts. It is ok up to the rails, then no good. I would try the rails, fpr and bolts from your 3.0. Your issue sounds like it is from the banjo bolts forward.

ok sorry for having two threads but here is what i posted in the other one.
ok, here are the pics.... what am i doing wrong? i just swapped out the rails, and the FPR! and i cant get the fueltoflowinto the rails. It wont go past the banjo bolt. I can let it prime and then undo that banjo bolt and it squirt everywhere!

Also, why would you hose clamp nylon fuel lines? It almost looks like those are backwards...

Well i had to heat up the nylon to slide it over the metal ******. then i just put a small hose clamp on it as a extra insurance. i dont believe they are backwards, the fuel line goes to the rear rail correct? and the return goes on the front rail.

for some reason, i've got this nagging voice in the back of my head that wants to know if you're using the lil copper washer or not, as i recall elsewhere in the thread you said you ditched those...

So you had the plastic lines off where you got them clamped on. Did you have them both off at the same time? Cause if you did you may have the connections right at the rails but the lines mixed up at your repair.

Guess I win free beer? Or what? I think I mentioned that I suspect the fuel flow being wrong long before you ordered a new pump.
