I suppose the definition of stock and the efficiency of the compressor would take effect. I always considered my 3L "stock". With a street tune and 91 octane, it was north of the 450bhp mark at 10 PSI.

My definition of stock is what it actually is, stock, and differs quite a bit from:
-Big Bore Butterflies
-Extrude Hone Intake Runners
-Gasket Matched Heads
-Stage 1 Camshafts
-High Flow Y-Pipe w/Cats
-Custom 3" exhaust
-Underdrive Pulleys
-Coolingmist water injection

Every one of those items will add power. NA that 'stock' 3.0 of yours dyno'd 214whp, or about 30bhp MORE than an actually stock 3.0. And of course, the more NA HP you have, the more boosted HP you will have. Your average stock 3.0 with 10psi will definitely NOT see 450bhp, it simply will not happen. Don't mislead the OP, of give him false hope.

I'm still on the fence about E85 as it will give big numbers. 10PSI could yeild pretty large numbers. If the car you're building is trully used as a race car only, you'd do well with E85.

The thought has crossed my mind. There is a local station with E85 at the pump.

Yes, that will add power. The SHO Shop cams are questionable, you'd understand if you had seen the lobes. Water injection will actually rob power until you start adding really aggressive timing. That 214hp (on that exact tune) wasn't faster than Chris' (AutoSHO) SHO from a roll.

However, with good fuel (E85) and a good turbo, I can get you 450bhp. Remember, my boost additive was using engine power. When you account for that and my mods, you're at a pretty level playing field with the turbo (roughly). I'm not giving him false hope. With a good setup and a good tune (& cooling), I wouldn't be surprised to see 350whp.

Pat made 445whp (~520bhp on an SC) on a COMPLETELY stock 3L at 15 PSI. Hypothetically, he should have been at 455ish bhp. You can do some cool stuff with a laptop :)

This can keep going, but there are too many variables. 450 is possible.

If you go E85 and want to see what it can do for you, let me know. We can set up a tuning session. You'll feel like you've added more boost.

1: what's the diff of a flow through MAFand a reg
2: where is pops racing shop?
3: do I physically need the tweecer to download the software and start learning it?
4: after I corrected my math I came up with 370bhp, and that's perfect for me, don't forget this is my 140mile a day round trip daily driver 450 would be nice but way too much for NYC driving.

5: I justwant to thank you all for your input, it means and helps more than you could even know!

1. It would be using a Lightening MAF over a Mark 8 MAF.

I think he meant to say blow-thru MAF. Both the LMAF and the MarkVIII are essentially the same.

1: Are you talking about draw-thru vs blow-thru?
2: Look in the tuning section
3: No. Download the software at www.tweecer.com. You can also look at Binary Editor and get the SHO binary from Adam @ Pops, but it will not be free.
4: I'll reference #4 in a year or so... :)
