today i attempted to put in a new cv axle because the boot tore and the cv starting popping. well after i pull the axle out of the transmission tranmission fluid started pouring out... is this normal. i have new axle seals. well it stopped shortly after.. i thought that it might be overflow because when i installed the trans i put 3 1/4 quarts of fluid through the sensor on top of the trans because the fill plug was seized. anyway after a couple hours its back on its wheels and so far so good untill i approach a hill/turn and i here a crick crick pop pop... i thought no way... this is a new unit. not a reman. what els could sound like a cv joint pop? and whats the deal with the fluid issue? i grinded 2 times going into reverse and i never grind gears. i also noticed doug lewis did not completly seal the case. i saw small/verysmall droplets coming from between the two halves. any input?
