Well for one you can tune on the run. For two it gets updated and doesn't have all the bs bugs that caledit does. For three, you can compare tunes side by side.

I only ran 13.9 again cuz I have issues with 2 of my coils popping out. So once I get those two coils changed and put in securely I will be back.

Well for one you can tune on the run. .

This is only true if you running the moates quarterhorse, which btw it about half the cost of the tweecer and if one plans to run BE it would be a no brainer to run the moates.

Edit:
Also, What makes BE more user friendly then CalCon?

-Sam

I'm not sure if its more user friendly but there are more features, such as the compare tune which the picture below shows. Another feature is the option to when datalogging you can use the trending option to graph a certain parameter, this can be done while tuning so it makes it easier to see if your getting in some trouble with afr or timing etc.

I did quite a bit of work to get it developed. Rob (92sho16) was one of my beta testers and he's seen first hand the debugging i went though to get all of the kinks of datalogging worked out. FYI: I do not license to VM installed environments. I have tried to add descriptions to a majority of the tables, scalars, and functions.

Virtual Machine. It's referring to people installing VirtualPC or VMware and installing virtual machines where they run XP or Win98 or whatever inside another computer.

Is it true that the x2j has no support in binary editor? Someone on eectuning recommended this to me because calcon won't install correctly for me on windows 7. So after getting it and looking through the strategies and not finding one for the x2j. I figured we weren't supported. Please tell me I didn't waste 80 bucks!

Edit! There's a guy who will reverse engineer this strategy to work but it will cost us money. Shal we start a group buy?

We have just finished doing pretty much exactly that - we just finished updating our site to make it easier to get the X2J.cry strategy for Binary Editor from Adam Marrer. We've worked out a special price for SHO NUT TwEECer Customers. All the details are here:

http://www.shonutperformance.com/TwEECer.htm

Adam's work comes highly recommended and endorsed by SHO NUT Performance. We refer all our tuning inquiries to Adam Marrer of POP's Racing.

What if we've purchased our TwEECer used from a third party (before I knew better)? Is there any chance of just purchasing "support" without forking over the full amount for a whole 'nother TwEECer?

Thanks Josh. I heard from someone that you were going to give this away... I knew better, but they insisted so. Thanks to you, Adam, and Clint for getting this rolling!

Check with us. You may have bought your TwEECer from a client of ours (we sold ~100 of them so far), in which case you qualify for the reduced price, since our support follows the TwEECer that was bought from us.

In any case, there's no need to buy 'a whole 'nother TwEECer' if you already have one ... Adam also has packages for people that are not our client (or his) but already have a TwEECer.

We have some free updates for our TwEECer clients for CalEdit - the free software that comes with the TwEECer (and initially thought we would be doing the same with BE), but Adam Marrer's work with BE has been so far past our expectations (i.e. a TON more settings and lots of tuning notes), that the current setup is a little more fair.

Great, thank you Adam and shonut, hopefully it can solve a lean tip-in issue, honestly, I have my doubts, I think heavily modified cars might have to run in forced open loop all the time but hopefully I'm wrong.

Maybe someone has had a similar issue and can share some thoughts, this usually happens when you do a fast push on the accelerator almost like stomping on it, car goes lean and loses power, worse when its cold, better on warm starts but with a gradual push on the accelerator it's fine then as loads go over 100% where it goes into open loop and your tables take over.

I have messed with the accelerator pump function but hasn't helped much.

What do your CL tables look like for your setup? Either program should be able to address this issue.

I just paid for these files and will be hooking up a Quarterhorse to test and compare against the TwEECer.
