conrats , fun thread.

I did ok with the camera on the other runs but didnt realize it was him until the lights were dropping ( another friend ran the pass previous) and you can tell I was just trying to get the damn car into the frame frantically so you could tell it was him - at least i got the time And trap

it will run quicker - I got a whole bag full of them jet thingy's:dribble:
the others all have larger holes in them too:evilgrin:

with such a new car it would be nice to have some scan data before adding much more spray to make sure it isnt leaning out or detonating

congrats !

car will go faster - got some bigger jets :dribble:

we really should have some scan data to see if its lean or detonating before stepping up to the less conservative jets

sorry about the camera - on that last pass the car was so stealthy being all black and in the dark and all I didnt realize it was him till the tree was ready , you can tell I was frantically trying to get the damn car in frame

Oooo, good questions!

I was under the impression that DI motors were more difficult to get more fuel out of.

IDK, just something I heard.

A stock SRT-4 boosts 15psi. All you need is injectors (and map and tip sensor) and you can up it to 20psi on stock turbo no problem. Safely.. (210whp to 280whp no problems)
So basically I'm saying is they limited the turbo because the injectors couldn't keep up. Maybe these turbo's will be able to push more air boost higher if you can fuel it with bigger injectors.
I doubt you will need better map or tip sensors in the new SHO it's just because srt4 uses 2 bar sensors that aren't able to work with engine correctly over 17psi. I am not sure but I think the new SHO has sensors that can read a wide range above stock PSI.

Uh, SRT4s aren't DI. The limit on the SHO is not the injectors; the limit is the secondary fuel pump. You know, the one that takes the fuel pressure up to like 12,000psi. That pump can only supply so much fuel, and it is mechanically driven off the camshaft, so you can't just get another Walbro unit...

List of mods:
Hennessey tune
Hennessey CAI
Northeast sho cat back

For my 12.60 runs I was spraying a 40hp dry shot
For my 12.56 pass I upped the jet to a 50hp dry shot

It was a compucar dry shot plug and play kit took about 10 minutes to put it in at the track. It was a friend of mines kit that runs it in a Pontiac GTP car..

I figure we already have one power adder whats one more... lol
I wanted the title of the quickest 2010 SHO so I had to do what I had to do...:woo-hoo:
Some people will say I cheated others will just appreciate what the car run..
The way I look at it some people say weight reduction is cheating, but when you are going after a record you do what you do.
I didn't do any weight reduction last night but that isn't out of the question down the road..

Bill

Very nice...................ya psycho... :laugh_ti:

after my 12.75 we added a bap and the car was still struggling a tad for fuel. We were waiting on a sensor from ford to help also tjats been on bo for ever.

I do agree just throwing a shot on without tuning for it is scary as ****.

these cars do have some safeguards too though

Beffy, did you have a air fuel ratio guage on each bank while tuning your car?

Unless you say yes then you dont have a clue as what the car was doing, datalogging is still not at a point where you can read fuel trims or boost.. So what you were running was just as dangerous at what Bill just did..

Tuning blind is just as bad as whiping NOS into the car.. Your guy is good! No doubt but still adding bigger values into a file and saying try this is just like Russian roulette. at this point..

Someone mentioned bigger injectors.. presently there is no such thing, our car use a special injector, but with Ford now installing the ECO Boost motor into other apps you will see parts come to life quick..

I cant wait untill the 3.7 comes to market and swapping them in to SHO

Beefcake, did the BAP work with this fuel system? Trying to decide if this is a worthwhile investment. Also did you ever install the Snow Performance kit?

Hey kirk! So do you think a way to pump more fuel in that the current fuel system will come around? I'm no expert but more fuel means more air meaning more boost "if" the motor can handle it..

How about the boost a pump? What's your opinion on that? And while I'm in question mode...what sensor were you waiting on?

You guys do relaize that the ECOSHO already has a BAP (lift pump) installed correct?

Its under your vanity cover attatched to the valve cover, and is cam driven. Also you can adjust your fuel pressure in SCT to supply what you need.. there is a limit to it but for what we can do presently its more then enough

Kirk, that's why I was asking if it was a worthwhile investment. I was unsure of extent that you could increase the fuel.
Thanks for the info

If someone could get me the part number off of the pump on the engine I could see if it is the same on a mazdaspeed 3. If so I have a friend that sells bigger pumps for speed 3 to up the fuel pressure at the rails. I would need all of the numbers not just fords part number. just send me a pm with that info and I will give him a call.
