Why would this happen? It just seems like it's in neutral, I think it might be the vss. This happens in every gear at the top of the rpm's. And I have a really really hard 1st to 2nd shift unless Im really light on the gas.

have you tried to adjust your clutch with the foot pedal? ive never seen that at the top of the rpm range. but the hard shifts would explain a clutch in need of adjusting. could be a ton of other things too

Downshift using the shifter while at speed and see if each gear grabs properly. See what happens.

the wheel shakes a lot it has a brand new rack in it but the ps pump has been making alot of noise and the fluid is black, would this have anything to do with the trans?

Tim and I were both trying to figure out if this is a VSS issue or not.

If the VSS is bad, not only will the tranny shift oddly but the VAPS rack will cycle through its settings while at speed.... Or am I spouting BS Tim?

It is a real PITA but doable. If you have small hands and skinny arms it is a plus. If your a big guy like me then its a bit harder. I did mine about 4 years ago and never want to do it again. So get a couple cases of beer and do it.
