No, I didn't get a time. They were having us run the track to dry it out after it rained and I snuck on. I ran a couple times to help dry it and the last time it was pretty dry and clear infront of me. So I guess when I passed the start line I was rolling at about 5-10 mph and I hammered on it.

Axle hopped in first kinda bad and a lil in second but didn't really spin to much. My speed when I crossed the line was around 110-115 so and I was granny shifting, I didn't go from a dead stop and I didn't get a time.

Sorry guys, I'll run it sometime. For now the street is fun enough for me.

The Beaver frowns down on stuff like that.
Especially when the track is wet!
Good thing you had a FWD.
Remember that your trap speed is an average of speed thtrough the top end.


P.S. The 110-115 trap speed means squat!!!
The only proof you need is an actual time slip!

How much oil/smoke/stuff is getting blown out of the crank breather tubes?

I can make several 1 mile passes and all I see out of my catch can is about an ounce of water that is flavored with a fuel smell, it's normally a little yellowish/brown. I haven't even checked my catch can (actually a plastic PVC fitting) in months, probably a year ...

The last time I looked at John's car, the blow by was minimum, ahd the compression on all 6 cylinder's was fine.

There were no mechanical problems with the car.

That's pretty much what I see as well, however, since moving from Denver to Omaha I see more condensation now. If you have anything more than a light brown watery substance, I'd worry.

Joking aside, I'm surprised that your SHO still isn't tuned right. It definitely seems odd what's going on, and I remember when I was up there and Matt was helping tune it the car would just randomly lean out. It was definitely throwing some weird numbers.

My experience with Matt has been a pleasant one, despite what people on the forum thing, Matt has helped me out on more than one occasion. He always seems to know what he is doing. As far as his wording on his post, I can see how some might take it the wrong way, but like anyone else who is frustrated at a problem and looking for answers, he doesn't want hear about something he already knows isn't the problem.

Anyways, I hope you get your tuning issues figured out.

PS, I don't have a catchcan, and there is no oil splattered in my engine bay.

I'm more saddened that you didn't come away with more than that. You were asking us for something (I think) and we ask something from you. I don't know how one could claim another to be childish considering some of the crap you've said on this forum. I've seen several times where you've phrased a question as to why you come here. Communication skills are invaluable and if you have them, you're more likely to get what you want as people can understand you and aren't offended/annoyed with the poor sentence structure (yes, your typing says a lot about you, believe it or not).

I'll leave it at that. You'll come away with something in a positive direction or you won't. That is your decision.
