Yea its fun having turbo and intercooler sitting in your room but its much better when you turn the key for the first time and hear it running.:)

I do really enjoy the noise my turbo makes. I can't hear that often enough. We should have a loud turbo contest. Who's turbo is the loudest?

Nick, I've allready got all of my piping. Thanks for the links though.

I picked up an intercooler sprayer yesterday...

That's what I thought until I started building it lol.

Have you considered water/meth injection? Kind of a whole new topic, I know.

Yeah I thought about it. However, Im only going to run 5lbs. That with the intercooler should see no problems.

Nope. I don't plan on installing larger injectors, so 5psi is going to be the limit and that's what the WG is set at. No boost controller either.

if that is true than I want to congratulate you on having a reliable boosted SHO. You have more will power than I do.

Ahh 5psi, I remember that... Haha j/k man but mark my words, once it's done, you will realize that it's just the beginning.

Back when I thought I was done. 5psi/FMU. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "do it right or don't bother" or anything. Just looks familiar :) Either way, I anticipate your progress.

Well if I find myself wanting more, I will eventually build up a decent 3.2 to handle as much turbo as I want.
But that will have to include a new turbo as well, since the current turbo will not handle alot of airflow very well. With this setup, I should have an instant spool and have power all the way to redline, making it hard to finish the word acceleration before the end of 3rd....

Originally it was a T3. However, I swapped the compressor/housing from a larger garret. It's a bit small especially the turbine A/R, but should get the job done very well. Which for my purpose, was to have instant power, and hold it (for the most part) till red line. Power will start dropping off up in the high 6k's but will still make me happy.
It's not going to be a highway Supra killer, but it won't be slow either.

When I first boosted, I said I would do 6 PSI MAX... Add about 10 PSI more and that's where I'm at now. My first attempt was 10 PSI :) IMHO, I think 9-10 PSI is a good number for the average boosted SHO. It'll give you plenty of kick and help keep the motor together.

I'm worried about two things though. The turbo running out of breath, and running out of fuel. Granted I have the FMU to cover fuel up to about 10lbs(really don't like that idea though either), I just don't think this turbo will be happy up there. I'm mainly using the FMU as a second FPR though. Since the FMU part of it is fully adjustable(as well as the other part) I plan to keep the ratio very low, somewhere around 2:1-4:1.

Im sure 5psi should be enough to please me. It should put power levels right around where the 100shot puts me, which is plenty of fun.
