It saved no more than a couple of pounds. The real gain was all the extra room I gained under the car to work on the suspension. As far as a weight savings, it is a bit of a waste of time considering the minimal gains.how much wieght did that save? cutting out the spare tire well that is.
Gotta finish it first!So, who has the lightest SHO now? I think my new track car will be in the running. The cage has lots of feet of tubing, but there is not much else to the car, so I am hopeful for some sub 2700lb numbers.

Just removed another 20lbs the other day. But I will be adding some back when I install the dash.
Any idea how much weight a 10-point cage adds?
