I don't know if this topic has been posted already, but I thought it would be fun.

Tell me what you best time (or times) is/are, and what mods you have/had done at the time of the run.

My first run at the track was about a month and a half or so ago, with a fresh tune up (new Autolites, Motorcraft wires, timing belt, new air filter [not a K&N]) and some shotty Douglas All-Season radials. The first time I ran a 15.3 @ 84MPH because I got a crappy launch. The second run, which was my last of the day, the track was packed, was a 14.8 @ 89MPH.

At least I got to see what she was capable of at the track before I let her go...

Your trap speed seems extremly low for a 14.8 Run.

My best run was a 15.01@93 MPH, With a 2.3 60' On Used front tires, Busted Motor mounts, Bad 02 Sensor's, The car overheating and at a Elevation 3,000 Feet.

I just took a guess at the trap speed. My time slips have since gone through the wash and dry. :nut:

my guess is that if you were able to get a 14.8 out of your car
you were in the 93-95MPHrange. 89 is way too low.

The best 1/4 time I've gotten was a 15.49@96mph with a 2.6 60ft time. I've run a best of 9.4@74(?)mph in the 1/8th with my 92 with the same engine that's in my 95....I think it goes without saying that traction was an issue that night on the 1/4. I have the following:

possible 3.2 swap (not sure)
73mm MAF
TB coolant bypass
Hand ported runners
reinforced front and rear mounts
custom 2.5" catback into a single flowmaster
Underdrive waterpump and power steering pulleys

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but it's 5am, and I ain't slept in a while.

I've done a personal best in The Other Woman of 12.48 @ 110 mph. Stock motor with a Roots style blower on it and an extremely lightened chassis. Also turned the engine 90 degrees and while I was at it, moved it to the back of the car. Changed out the AXOD to a Mendeola transaxle to help it last longer.

how do you not know if you have a 3.2?

because the guy who sold me the 92 (the car the engine came out of) told me he performed a 3.2 swap.....but then further investigation shows a KOA tag on the oil pump housing, and my chip burned for the 3.2 swap made the car run weird.....but I've also been told that during a 3.0 - 3.2 swap, EVERYTHING but the block and pistons comes from the 3.0, including the oil pump. I'll find out for certain when I tear it down to do head gaskets and valve stem seals.

Just for laughs, I think I'm going to take the '99 SE out to the track sometime. :laugh_ti:

Anyone have any idea what it might run? No mods with the 3.0L Vulcan. It does have good torque.

No. Its the 140hp with 210 ft. lbs.
I believe you're thinking of the Duratec V6. I can only WISH it had that motor. Haha.
