I want to use the Yamaha in a rear wheel drive application. Is there a Ford transmission/bellhousing that will bolt up to the back of the Yamaha.

I have a deposit on a 1932 Ford 5 window coupe. There is one depositer ahead of me out trying to put the money together. I hope he fails.

Anyway if I get this car, with its blown (as in broken) flathead V-8, I want to put a Yamaha V-6 in it. I hate seeing these old Fords with Chevy engines in them, (because they are cheap). The Yamaha is technically a Ford engine, isn't it?

I have been wanting a 32 5 window ever since I first saw one 40+ years ago. Wish me luck folks. If I do not get a 32 coupe, I'll build the Cobra kit car and put a Yamaha in it. One or the other is going to be my retirement project.

Also to get a wider range of tranny choices check out http://www.kennedyeng.com They make custom tranny adapters. I think they do alot of Tremec work. I would think the hardest part might be getting the gearing ratios optimal.
