I have been using Doug's programming ever since the first group buy around a year ago. Not until recently have I noticed some issues with the tranny. The 2-3 shift sometimes is very irradic... the TC doesn't know what it wants to do... most noticeably while driving say 30-35 mph up a hill. The 3-4 shift has been that way since I've had it... on a highway punch, the TC sometimes goes crazy. And also, (this might be me feeling something that is NOT there, but...) I feel the same sensation like I was getting wheel hop from drag racing my old mtx... it feels like something is trying to "bite", and this is at 30 mph or so speeds.
I returned the programming back to stock, and all this disappeared.
Has anybody else had similar experiences? I guess I need to contact Doug...

Definitly programming, as you have found out. It almost sounds like the TCC solenoid is acting up with the programming. Odd...

I have the same problems with mine...I think the TC is on the way out the door again and I only have about 5 or 6K on it now! This car frustrates me to no end. I am picking up my stand alone very soon so hopefully I can keep this tranny alive for another year until I get back to the states! David keep me informed of what you find out please. :oogle:

The OEM TC is a know weak point and if it is not beefed up will fail under abuse, er I mean use.

The fins need brazed 100% instead of only a 1/3 of them, bushing and clutch can be improved too.

The tuning I have now will lock up the TC almost immediately in 3rd and 4th and hold it there, even under deceleration. :)
