Well Josh, as a fellow Tx SHO owner, I would officially like to invite you to our sho get-together in Austin on June 7th. You can meet a lot of fellow sho owners, and exchange tips and ideas as well as have a hella good time!
As for your question, if you turn the ignition key to 'acc' and you don't hear the fuel pump whine to get ready to send fuel to the motor, that indeed is likely the problem. I just swapped my fuel pump out last week for a walbro 190lph pump following the directions here in our "how to" section on the shoforum. Not at all a major of a deal as it sounds. Took me and a buddy under 2 hours from backing into his shop, to backing out.
If you are getting fuel, then it must be a problem with spark. Do you have any aftermarket mods that have any affect on spark advance/timing? If you are running an aftermarket eprom or chip, make sure that it is installed tightly onto the computer.
Is the car turning over, but not catching? If it is turning over, then your starter and battery are okay. Does your CE (Check engine) light come on? If so, then the car is trying to tell you something. There is a writeup here on the site on pulling the codes and reading them to let you know what the problem is...good luck.. hail
