wont start but will crank

so i replaced my head gaskets and power steering pump this weekend. but everythin back together. but car wont start. i think i may have the timing off. i put #1 at tdc and aligned the cams at their timing marks when i put it all back together. and now i cant get the car to start. it will crank. i think i read somewhere that you had to either turn the cams twice around or put the #1 cylinder at tdc twice or somethin. if someone could clarify it for me that would be great. i need to get these machine moving this week. thanks`

Make sure your dis on your intake is plugged in as well as the coil.

just to make sure the coil pack is like this

hey man thanks for the help. i just went out and swapped the wires around, but my battery is dead/ weak. so im charging it right now. hapefully i got my timing right after all

it is continued....it turns over for about a second or so but wont stay on. so my timming is off. i leave florida on saturday, so im gonna have someone else time it for me this week. i have a bunch of stuff i still have to do
