Was wondering if any one else has had this and what they did to fix it. When i shut my wipers off instead of dropping down under the hood they go all they way to the left (fully upright) was thinking it was the switch but i am wondering if there is any thing on the wiper motor, because they work just fine when they are active they rest a couple inches off the bottom of the windshield but as soon as they go to off the shoot all they way up

My wipers do the same thing. Pretty annoying hey. I was told its the module that comes with the MFS. Its located on the inside firewall at about the center of the dash. Its not worth it to me to swap that out. I just turn them on and off quickly until they stop, usually mid way and I can push them down under the hood by hand.

yes it is most likely the wiper governer box that is near the steering colomn there somewhere under the dash. i had that same problem, but havenot seen it happen recently. my problem is that when i switch on the wipers, my wipers sometimes do not react, or on certain settings they just stop and settle into the cowl... its like a bad connection. i switched out my MFS (turn signal stalk), with a new one, and nothing different. i havent switched out anything else yet because it hasnt bugged me so much to the point of digging more under the dash.

My friends 90 at work did the same thing. We replaced the motor today after work. Now his wipers don't stay up when they are off.
