I'm glad we can all poke fun at each other, and enjoy a hearty laugh at it, w/o people getting all butt hurt.

Seems so many nowadays are hypersensitive and get offended so easily. Ugh.

All in good fun. The hearty laughs are therapeutic.

My plans for the winter are to sort out my knock issue (another new set of plugs only marginally helped).

Install the MSD coils that should be here shortly.

Pop the car back on a lift and see if the I have a leak from the DP flanges. After driving with them on it sounds much more like an exhaust leak to me than the rasp associated with catless cars. My brother had a V6 firebird that had exhaust leaks everywhere for like 7 years, and it sounded quite a bit like the SHO does now.

I would love if I could get to painting, sanding, blending the few rock chips as well. I'm not sure the dead of winter is the best time for that, but the garage is more or less tolerable temperature wise.

That's probably it for the winter or at least till more fun money rolls in anyway. Springtime will probably bring brakes and tires.

My car sits in the garage during the week for the most part, it only gets driven on the weekends now.

Over the winter I plan on putting hot pipes and epp intake on once they finally arrive, and further down the road I will probably do the lpfp as well. I don't plan on doing anything further to it after that unless my turbos crap out on me. Part of me is contemplating throwing a few pieces of metal into the air intake so I can justify getting the gearhead turbos, but so far the economical side of my brain has stopped me from doing that.

Last week while I was on vacation I had plans of putting my stock HPFP back on so I could test my old 93 octane AJP turbo and Unleashed tunes with dragy to see what they ran, but it was about 20 degrees in my garage and I was trying to do it fast, and I'm pretty sure I put the metal base for the pump on upside down, so when I started the car up, I had fuel leaking out the front of the pump straight down onto the manifold. It's amazing how fast that heats up, luckily I caught it and dumped water on it before the gas caught fire. Thinking I hadn't tightened the pump bolts down enough, I gave them each 2 extra ugga duggas and presto, the one on the right snapped.

The last day of my vacation was spent getting the shaft of the bolt out and trying to track down a spare bolt from junkyards (none of them had any fords new enough). Side note you can 2 of the bolts at a ford dealer for 13 bucks. At that point I put the aftermarket pump back on and went back to my e30 tune. I didn't have the realization that I had put the plate on upside down until afterwards, and it got even colder here so I decided to stop messing with the car while it was still in running condition. I might try again in the spring because I would really like to know what my ajp tune with the stock pump can do.

Winter plans none :( just paid for tuition so no extra money for the car need to change the spark plugs that’s about it was going to do down pipes. Also what are the stock downpipes supposed to look like because I think I don’t have the stock ones because they look odd. Going to take some pics tomorrow when I can put it on the lift

Stock look cobbled together and stepped on by a Friday afternoon technician rushing to get home for dinner.

You should notice a difference. My buddy just switched to those and he says he feels a difference.

My 2017 is driven daily by my wife, so downtime is at a minimum to do anything crazy. However, I think I’m at the stage in the modding game where I’m gonna hit the “pause” button for a little while... the car already traps near 112mph in the quarter and makes an estimated 450 crank hp. Do I really want my wife to have more than that under her right foot on her commute to work?!?

That said, there are a few things I have planned over the next few months...

- installing the MSD coils that just arrived
- adding a catch can
- changing out the PTU fluid
- doing front pads and rotors

Yeah, until she gets something different, I think the car is quick enough for her as it sits.
