i kno exactly what you are talking about. we have a windstar and 2 SHOs in my family and that is exactly what my dad said. the handbrake doesnt work worth sh*t in our 96 windstar...my dad even pulled it out of the floor once cause you have to yank it so hard. (seriously!) He thinks the hand brake would work 20x better in the Sho and the footbrake 20x better in the windstar

I'd love to help to figure this one out too. E-brake would make some things much more fun in our cars. I personally wouldn't mind putting it behind the floor console, on the floor in front of the middle of the rear seats. Heck, I almost sit in the back seat.

Probably drilling a hole in the floor and using the windstar handle, and maybe just cutting the current e-brake cable short might do... shrug

I have been told by a person or two that should know, that the Focus unit would be a better starting point than the Windstar unit wink
