I have a problem with my windshield wipers, they dont work too well. I thought it was the blades, but when you look closly it appears the blades are being pushed down too hard and are not staying flat with the windsheild. Can i adjust them so they arent being pushed down so hard? Do i need a different kind of wiper?

Yes, using two hands, bend the flat section of the wiper arm so that the blade is positioned farther away from the windshield. Are you sure there is too much force? It sounds like there is not enough force pressing the blade to the glass. Use the same method to bend the arm away from the glass.

Not to steal the thread or anything, but this reminded me of a problem with my wipers. Most of the time when they are on, the driver side wiper goes past the glass when fully raised and hits the body and makes a pretty loud tick. It gets really annoying. Any ideas to fix this?

THere must be too much force, the blade is being forced flat against the glass instead of standing up. Thx scott

Remove the wiper arm and reattach it a couple splines lower. It's pretty easy once you figure out how to remove the arm.
