Is the door being held tightly against the seal? Try pulling the door inward while driving. Does the noise improve? If so, move the door latch post inward slightly using a torx socket.

Side window air noise

All the above suggestions are a possibility. However I have a 96 SHO and the air noise is all around the car. One serious problem is the side windows. If you look at the rear lower of the front windows and the front lower of the rear windows you may see what I have noticed. When the window gets all the way up the force of the motor push the bottom outward away from the inner seal. It is because the window is curved and the track is not strong enough to hold the window in place against the force of the electric motor.

I have been working on the air noises in the car every since I bought it. It is unfortunatly a not very expecive car and it is kinde of old. It really erks me to cruse down the highway at 70 and have to blast the radio to hear it.

I have been trying to figure out a remede for this problem but have come up with nothing yet. Just one of alot more possibilitys. Good luck

The door striker can cause problems like that also. If the little plastic part is worn or missing the door won't close tight.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) that is not an issue on the gen 3s, like the most recent poster had issues with. They have an all metal striker. Not sure what to say about fixing any wind noise issues on a gen 3, other than making sure all the seals are in place and in good shape.

typically, the wind noise is actually not from the window, but is from the door seal. the door seal tends to shrink, and this of course makes it shorter. as it gets shorter, it tends to pull away from the B pillar at the top. this leaves a gap outside of the door trim, allowing all kinds of wind noise.

if you look at the door trim, you will find the joint (ends) at the bottom middle of the door. pull the door trim off from the joint towards the back, all the way to the top of the B pillar. then reinstall it correctly all the way back down. this may leave you a gap as much as 1/2" or more at the bottom, but my experience is that you will get very little wind noise from the gap at the bottom.

Will the bottom of the door remain sealed against the elements, or is it a very good idea to add a filler piece of weatherstripping in the newly created gap? TIA.
