Jeremy,

I concur. I just bought a GoDan Inc. (GDI) 2162 that replaces the Ford 1094 for $149.99. Yours is a good find. Good price too.

I thought my GoDan GDI radiator was a good buy at $169 at Autozone. Sheesh. I spent a lot of time trying to find the cheapest (yet high quality!) parts for my 60K and cooling system fixes. Now that I have the parts I keep finding them cheaper!
I did manage to get a spare *new* ford waterpump for $40 for the next 60K. But that was after spending $195 for the ford pump for this 60K!

Okay, I got my P1094 radiator in the mail today, and it is listed for the 3.8L? What gives? Do I need to send it back? I thought the part number was the same, but the radiator looks different to me, especially where the upper radiator hose attaches. Hmm..

EDIT:: Just took a closer look under the radiator cover and it is indeed the same one..just looked different with the fans attached and stuff... ME! tool

Yeah, my replacement GDI radiator looked different to me too from a couple of angles, I know it sounds silly but when I did the replacement that is what I saw, no beer involved! But upon closer inspection it was exact except for the two ports in the passenger side plastic tank for the ATX transmission fluid cooler fittings. One size fits all, eh? A small volume loss for that, insignificant since the taurus has a pretty generous cooling system volume anyways.

I'm glad you got a great deal on your radiator. The $169 I spent wasn't so bad for a lifetime replacement guaranteed job that was there when I needed it (cracked plastic tank that I probably could have repaired with fiberglass cloth and expoxy that I already have on hand, but the wife will sleep better nonetheless). But $101 plus $9 shipping takes the cake for what will last you the life of your car if you don't neglect coolant changes! :p

Glad you scored a good ebay deal, Jeremy!

Rick
