Okay- this has happened twice now in the last week.

I go to start the SHO, and it turns really fast, like high-pitched turn over, the tach jumps up and down from 500 to like 2-2,500 RPM, and then starts fine. Car runs fine. If I shut it off, and try it again, it starts fine. Both times it did it, the car was driven until normal operating temp (hwy for about 15 min) shut down for about 1 1/2 hours, and then started up again in about 30 degree temps.

shrug

Thoughts?

Yeah, it just sounds fishy to me. It's like there is no load on the motor when the starter turns it, then it catches something, loads itself, and starts. Not like a non-engaging starter, but more like the engine is turning way too easily at first. It lasts a full second while it's going on, and it's a scary second when I'm holding the key!

Maybe nothing, probably a SHO demon, but just something else to make me nervous, I guess...
