wierd sound on downshift on mtx 3.0 sho

as soon as i downshift from 4 to 3 i hear a loud click

or it whine and click

im unsure ill try and get a vid out off it

but this is startting to scare the **** out off me

could it be the axles ?

or some engine mount ?

even 2 i have the 2 shonut solid mount

Could be the axles going bad have you checked them?

they are the original 300 000 mile plus axle

and last time all was checked bearing balljoint and all the rest as for the axle unsure it there a special way to check the axle ?

Is there grease all over the bottom of your whip? Or, oozing out of the CV boots? That is usually the first indicator of a problem.

there nothing on the axle nor the boot

grab the axle(s) and give them a good wiggle up/down and side to side. there should be a little play you should be able to feel if there is an issue there

and what rpms are you down shifting at?

welll if im running 130 ill donwshift in 4 and then in 3 when the rpm goes down a regular downshift
