Okay, I'll confess up front that maybe I'm an idiot... There, I said it so you don't have to! ;-)

Has anyone gone with a wider tire than the OEM 245/45/20? The next size up that's a perfect match for overall diameter is a 275/40/20, which may be TOO wide and have issues with fender rub, especially on the fronts. I've also looked into just going a LITTLE bit wider with a 255/45/20, which actually has very close specs to the OEM size.

I know, you probably asking *why* does this guy want to do this!?!!? Truth is, purely for aesthetics. To me the 245s just seem too skinny, especially from the rear view. Any agree with me? And has anyone tried a different size without changing the wheels as well?

245 is as wide as I was willing to go for fronts due to suspension bits and I'm also running a 22 inch wheel. My rears are 295 rears though which is I think one of the more aggressively setup rears

Looks sharp! I'm not a fan of the Conti DWS (bad experience with them CONTINUOUSLY blowing sidewalls with Indiana potholes), but I do think the slight size increase makes a difference. Any pics from the back of the car? To me that's where the tires seem too narrow.

Are you lowered any, or are you running stock suspension?

Thanks for the "rear" shots! ;-)

Have you had any issues with the wider tires? With AWD, I'm guessing the ~.5 inch differences doesn't cause may issues.
Have had no issues, feel is better, I would say I had Goodyear f1 supercar tires but so many styles I would get jumped on, lol, hugs the road better when in WV driving the mountains. rain feels better.

That black on black SHO is serious, very nice wheel selection and the stance is perfect. Very nice JasonoftheRugar

Don't be so ******* yourself David - you're not an idiot, I think the majority of people would agree the 245 are way to narrow for this car! I hate having my wheel sit "inside," the fender. Therefore, I think Jason has the perfect setup in my opinion! 275 all around meets the fender flush and looks OEM! That's my next mod!
