Why wont my brakes bleed?

I just replaced my drivers side rear caliper and all the fun stuff that goes along with that. We went to bleed them and nothing comes out and the brakes won't press. What did I do wrong or what should I look out for?

Is your brake hose collapsed internally? Is the rear bias valve compressed? Even if the rear suspension is hanging freely, you should still get some fluid out. I'd look at your hoses.

Is the cars weight fully down on the suspension? If it's not the rear proportioning valve will be closed and not allow much fluid flow to the rear brakes.

Your rear brake hoses are very likely collapsed; this is what causes the rear calipers to lock up in the first case oftentimes.

You will need to replace the rear hoses. I recommend stainless steel hoses.

Could be your bleeder valve too. I've had more than one clog up on the inside of the valve.

Compress the suspension. Put a jack under the control arms with a heavy board spanning them. Still won't bleed...it's the hoses..if you CAREFULLY use a cutoff wheel and remove the bracket from the hose (cut about half way through and bend it), try bleeding again.
