Why did water/coolant come from my intercooler to intake manifold pipe.

Sometimes when I drive hard in the summertime, my car overheats. If I drive normal it doesn't overheat. When I pop the hood, water is spraying from the intercooler to throttle body pipe. Somebody make it make sense please.

Ok just a few thoughts. Origional owner? How many miles? Is it a performance package sho? Was the coolant ever changed? If so was it properly burped? Pull the oil dipstick, is the oil cloudy/milky? Have you or any owner ever drained the intercooler they collect oil. Sounds to me something gave in and oil is mixing with Coolant, wether the water pump or radiator.

Driving a car suffering these issues need to be in a shop, especially if you don't plan to do the work.

We will need much more back story.

videos by any chance? may be the radiator or overflow hose for cooling system? overheating usually starts with malfunctioning fans, but certainly in some cases damaged hoses can be the culprit. clamps may be loose or defective. reservoir cap may be holding too much pressure but have not seen reports of that on this platform.

This is where the fluid was coming out. Was it oil? Was it coolant? Was it water that had condensed in the intercooler? I don't know. The first time it happened was out in the desert coming back from California. I was screwing around with a Challenger scat pack and it was super hot. The car overheated and shut itself off. I popped the hood and there was a fine mist spraying from around the clamp. The next time this happened was in the city and I was being a goon to see if I could get the car to overheat. I did get it to overheat. This has never happened driving normally. My coolant is full. I've never lost any. I think I may have just overwhelmed the system and condensation was escaping from the intercooler. I don't think there's any leaks. This is my best guess. Somebody make it make sense please.

I don't think I'll be getting any videos of this problem because I would have to drive the car hard enough to overheat it. I will probably throw in the gearhead intercooler and a new radiator at the same time. I suspect that will solve my overheating problem.

Is there an easy way to drain the intercooler? We got any threads about that around here?
