Maybe we could have an option for just the struts or to have them shipped in stock housings. As I understand the adjustability it's just a **** that you put on and turn to adjust the stiffness at a whim. At least that is what I have seen with other koni struts.

Basically I don't want something thats a PITA, but gives ungodly cornering. I want something thats easy to install and gives pretty good cornering like the Tokicos. If the Konis require constant adjustments or are finicky I probably don't want them, but if they pop right in and do their job then I could probably live with that.

I'm mostly looking for alternatives to the $470 for a front strut job (stock) at the Ford dealership, I figure for that price I could get a set of something nice and have a speed shop put them in with a little more money. I'm just weighing the pros and cons right now.

I figure you'd probably play around with different settings for about a month, to get a feel for what you want in your daily driving and then a different setting for say, weekends or track. Then just put a mark on the **** and casing when you find the perfect setting so you know where to adjust it to, match up the marks and you're set to go.

The konis do not require constant ajustment at all! You never have to ajust them if you dont want too. Its a nice feature to have when you go to the track though because it gives you the option to really firm up the suspension to levels that would not be comfortable for every day driving.

Edogg23 how do you like the ride quality (in the mild setting). Also could one get away with using stock springs with these for a while? Just some questions. thanks

First off I would waite until you can afford both the struts and springs because installation is going to be twice as much if you do them seperate because the springs have to come off to change the struts anyways. If you want to go back and change the springs later then you have to take the struts off to get to them so you are going to have to do twice the work. I have my konis on the middle setting which seems to be a nice firm ride but you do not feel every bump you ride over. The softest setting was a little too soft for my liking the car seemed to bounce a little bit. Full hard gave me good traction on the track ( I got a 2.20 60 ft time) but was too harsh for every day driving.

Thanks, I was looking at getting those but I don't think my rear struts are rebuildable. The rear passenger side is definitly leaking.

You just need the outter casing not the actualy strut. There's a sleeve that the strut is in and you just need to cut the top of that sleeve and slide the new koni in. Talk to shawn if you're not sure. I bet he could hook you up with some housings if you need them.

I only need the front two. Do you think this will fit in? I have a full set of Tokiko/Eibachs but the fronts are toast. How would the Konis in front work with the Tokikos in back?

Has anyone checked IPT's site lately? Their prices are now $121.50 per strut insert.. Good deal.
