I am. I have a rule in our company that when the roads are wet, we stay off them. Unless it's an emergency cut cable of course. Nothing worse than working alongside I-10 when it's slick and the people are still whizzing by at 80.

Gives me more time to buy ****.

Tom, the buy stuff thing is funny. My dad is retired now and his new full time job seems to be full time internet shopping.

This weather reminds me of Philly - where I was hatched.

Chuck, I understand that you may know a charecter named Scott Valery. Any truth to that? I worked with hime in the engine shop at Mesa Airlines.

Not enjoying it at all. I want to get my rockcrawler ready for a New Years day run and this rain has made my progress grind to a halt.

I did go to Auto Safety House and buy stuff though.

I may or may not. That could be a part in my memory that is lost. Where would I know him from?

I spent all day Tuesday and yesterday outside doing field tests on radio equipment with a customer. Even though I picked up a sinus infection last weekend I still enjoyed the weather. That's one thing I like about living here; when the weather goes to crap it's a fun and interesting diversion.

We 'sploded a 750W inverter that was plugged into the battery of the customer's rental car when some rain water got splashed into it. The car was pretty iffy after that, too. ;)

I love field work. The weather made it a little more fun, I thought.

How about trying to shovel a block of ice? We're supposed to get more tonight. 105,000 people without power in Fort Wayne at the worst... down to like 42,000 right now. ;)

Yeah, your AZ rain is snow by the time it gets here. Albuquerque doesn't get much but NW New Mex is getting slammed.
Personally I love the snow, but professionally I could do without it.

I now have a 6 foot pile of snow outside my front door leading down my walkway. It looks like a bobsled run.

Watched my neighbor down the street give up on shoveling the mound out front so he bullett trained his dodge diesel 4x4 right thru it. It made it over the 4 foot mound of snow...and he ended up with his rear bumper against the mound of snow across the street and his front bumper against the mound of his own driveway. This truck now blocked the whole street.

I got my truck out and successfully pulled him out. Cost me a tow strap cause we had to knot it to his tow hook to get it to stay on. I'm not the boyscout tom is so I didn't know how to tie the cool no tighten up knot that stays tight but doesnt get tighter when you yank a three ton truck out of the snow. T you need to teach me that as I had to cut my strap off. Met a new friend though. He dropped of a new toe strap off later that night.

If you saved the old tow strap, you can have a new loop sewn in the end. And it's called the bowline; The rabbit comes out of the hole, goes arround the tree and then back down the hole. There'll be a test on this later. I used to teach my Scouts how to tie it one-handed, in case they were the one being rescued.

I bet you got another foot of snow last night eh?

I thought the rabbit did go thru the hole but he got skerd when I yanked the line and now he won't come out.

Nope thankfully that storm missed us.

Oh and Mikey - so sorry about not getting those lenses to you yet. I finally found them - now I have to send them. I might get it done tomorrow. You can give me a lump of coal next year.

I remember you giving that lesson and the circumstances that surrounded it. ;)

And I wish I could remember how to tie that knot!
