Who else is happy with the OEM F1 Supercars?

After 50k miles it's time for a tire replacement. To be quite honest, I've been very happy with the OEM Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercars. They've lasted a good long while, have gripped, cornered and stopped as well as any other "performance tire" I've previously owned ( BFG Comp T/A, Eagle F1's, albiet on different cars). Come on SHO Forum! Talk me out of just buying the same thing. What are your experiences with the Supercars and can you recommend anything else?

I've been happy with mine but doubt they will last that long I'm at half tread life with only 7k oddly the rear tires wear faster then the front even wear

Strange that you've gotten so little mileage out of them. I'd also like to add that road noise and driving comfort have been very good with this tire as well.

I love the F1's. I put them on my 2013 again when it came time to replace them.

The one thing that's so important about tires - make sure the inflation matches the load.

I noticed with these tires that they seemed to ride "softer" when the air pressure is higher which is strange when you first think about it. But if the center of the tire is pushing against the ground more than the sidewalls, it kinda makes sense. I lowered the air pressure, and suddenly they road like rocks again (which I like) and handled better. And wore perfectly.

Side note: I used the Goodyear winter tires they make for the cop cars - the Eagle Ultra Grip GW3 - they ride nice, because they're 18's, but they have great ice traction, good snow traction, and deal with deep water at high speeds very well. And, they actually handle very well.

50k is atypical wear. Most get about 20k. Maybe with conservative/highway driving?

I do a lot of highway driving. Probably 75% plus of my miles are highway miles.

Only tires I've had. They grip well but they are very loud over joints in the road.

You live in Ohio! That's crazy you're using Summer tires year-round! I picked up my '14 SHO new in Nov 2013 - the exact day we had some some sleet & snow! My VERY 1st turn on a hwy I almost slid right into a curb but thank goodness for the anti lock brakes and ECS!!! The next red light was on a hill and all 4 tires just spun. The very next week she was getting new Conti DWS06 AS tires put on - massive difference. But in the Summer I throw my OEM Goodyears on, excellent Summer!

Are you sure they're the F1 Supercar tires and not another variant of the F1 tires? I had the supercar tires on my old Mustang and loved everything about them EXCEPT the miles before they were shot. I drive about 80-90% highway, about 20k miles/year, and they were past life at just over 20k miles with rotation every oil change and proper inflation. I think they're only rated for 30k miles so getting 50k is definitely not normal. The most common complaint for the tires is they don't last very long.

I ditched the F1s almost immediately after purchasing my new 2014 PP and installed a set of 19" Bridgestone RE11s on aftermarket wheels. The difference is astounding. Much sharper turn-in and the traction improvement - both laterally and in a straight line - is stunning. Good tires completely change the character of the car. It actually feels better at 8/10ths than my 2011 CTS-V equipped with even stickier 285/35-19 Bridgestone RE71Rs on all four corners.

The only thing good I have to say about the F1s is that they're quiet and inexpensive. They're terrible performance tires.

Anyone go to Conti extreme DWS06 and can make a comparison? I really can't keep summer tires living in NY but don't want to give up any grip in the dry.
