Anybody have any quick steps on how to remove the master cylinder, I figure it can't be hard but I haven't looked at it yet.

Just need a little help.

if you dont want to take the master cylinder off to see if the booster is full of fluid, pull out the check valve and stick a clear tube onto a wet vac or pump of some sort and see if anything is in it. makes life alot easier.

Ok, hear is an update. I took off the master cylinder and the booster was completely full on brake fluid. I got a wet vac and sucked all of the fluid out and installed a new master cylinder. The car is not smoking as much but it is still smoking when i get down on it. How long do you think it will take for the fluid to get pushed out of my car and for the smoke to stop. Does anybody have any ideas on how to speed up the process?

nope just give it time, itll go away eventually but it would be better to change the booster also if you can. also it wouldnt hurt to do a "drip" top end cleaner. most quik lubes can do it. its a engine cleaner that goes in through a vaccuum on your engine cleans everything out. good luck w/ everything. just outta curiousity what kind of master cylinder did you end up using and where did you get it?

I must say that your problem is a new one on me. Very interesting, and a good call on JT's part. I'll have to file this piece of info into my memory bank. Never know when it'll come in handy.
