OK Guys,

Hopefully you can help me out here. My TB makes a whine at idle but goes away when you give it some gas....I've replaced the TPS but it's still there. Any ideas? The whine sounds like a power stearing pump whine...but it's not that.

Thanks in advance.

By TB, do you mean Throttle Body, Timing Belt, or something else?

How do you know it is the "TB" making the noise?

Since he replaced the TPS, I am guessing it is the throttle body.... It's proabably you IAC, Idle Air Controller. You can clean it if you have the cleanable type, or you replace it.

Yes,

By TB I do mean the throttle body. I know it's coming from there because both my tranny guy and I put a stethiscope to it and you can hear it coming from there. Also if you manipulate the hose between the TB and the MAF it will stop. I guess I'll try changing the IAC next.

It's definitely the IAB (aka IAC). My car had the same problem, until I swapped it out.
