First I want to say hi to everybody. I've been following, searching, and lurking for a month now.

I work at a dealership and we traded for this green SHO, I didn't personally do the deal so I don't have any background on the car besides a car fax which only tell you so much. Anyways, got it back from detail took it to lunch and left with the keys in hand that same day.

About the car, it's a 2013 Gem Green Metallic SHO with 87,*** miles on it, interior is flawless, car runs without a hitch (to my satisfaction atleast). The insight I'm looking for is I want to upgrade multiple things but before I start, how far backwards do I need to work before I start working forwards and establishing a baseline of knowing things have been done the right way and all loose ends are tied? Spark plugs, fluids, etc. With the amount of miles what do I need to be looking for and where would you start?

I appreciate any and all feedback, my SHO is by far my favorite of all the vehicles I own and I'm just looking to get educated more and more everyday on what seems to be a rare piece!

Plugs and trans fluid usually needs a change at 50-60k, depending on How it was driven. Change ptu oil asap! And change every 20-25k if using motorcraft or any other off the shelf ****. You Can run 30-40k+ if using amsoil or redline. (Royal purple seems to do well also). Run a high quality synthetic oil. Any off the shelf syn will do fine for 7.5k with stock tune. The motorcraft full syn will do fine as well. The rear diff usually has a pretty easy life when it comes to oil. Inspect it though. Check your CAC tube clamps and unions for oil seepage. Usually that means the plastic band clamps have loosened and you have some boost air seeping out. Change them to metal wormgear clamps and youre good to go. Im sure others will add to this. Also make sure you browse the forum, lots of your questions have already been answered. Welcome to the community, congrates on your sho...with the rare green that I wanted. But I'm happy for you. Really. . .mostly. Lol

I appreciate it! I definitely will go over all of what you mentioned (and do more searching inside the forum). I just want to be vigilant in my venture for more power, and it makes me kind of nervous with that many miles and not knowing how the car was treated prior to my ownership. I am thoroughly enjoying the SHO and glad to be a part of what seems to be a very passionate community.

Welcome. I really wanted green or blue but they are quite rare, only about 400 for green and even less blue.

Update* I've tightened all clamps, readjusted clamps (clamp to cac wasn't fully seated at all) fixed that. Also checked for fluid in CAC. Cleaned sensors. Changed out the spark plugs. Put brakes on it, rotors are next. Haven't had the opportunity to check PTU yet or rear diff.

There was seepage at the rear flex joint, cleaned that so I can keep an eye on it. As of last night and up to this point I have developed an issue around 1800-2000 RPM on a smooth acceleration my BOV vents like 3-4 times a second. Like the engine is burping almost. Super sluggish and rough shifts. At 40mph it falls flat on it's face and then picks back up. However from launch to 80 WOT no symptoms mentioned above period.

Any insight on this?

I have the same issue. Ive seen posts about the knock sensor wires chaffing on the block, mine looked fine and were running, and also check all the vacuum lines in case they were loose but found them all in place. Also check the MAP sensors for any build up. I've seen posts on the F-150 ecoboost forums about condensation in the CAC causing issues as water gets pulled past the throttle body also. Mine seems to happen more after the engine has been running for some time. I haven't had a chance to check the plugs, and that will probably be my next stop. FYI mine is a 2013 non PP with about 75,000 miles. If you happen to find anything let me know, and I'll do the same.

Will do brother, I'm gonna get some under the hood time in tonight and tomorrow and see if I can't come up with something. The only time I get a chance is on the weekend and she's been sidelined all week so hopefully I can make some progress tonight!
