Do the Yamaha motorcycle shops still carry 29mm shims? or will any 29mm shim work for the valve lash adj?

EDIT: I am aware that the kit is available to rent, but was wondering how readily available these shims are.

Any Yamaha dealership has them at $3-5 each which is expensive once you have to buy a few. Also they only are denominations of 50, not 25 like what is used on the SHO.

Are you looking for new shims, or simply shims to do your 60K?

There are quite a few people here on the forum with shims, and there use to be a seller in your area (MD) that hawked a lot of SHO items on eBay.

I'm just looking in general. I will obviously need them for my 60k but am going half with someone in my area on a shim kit rental.

I will call you in the morning. I've been missing your calls lately because I am slammed at work.
