How much does one cost and should I simply pick it up at the nearest parts shop?

Oh, how do I replce it? It seems to be a bit out of the way...

The Sending Unit is really the "Oil Level Sensor F2AZ-6C624-A $ 22.99" which seems to be the same for both v6's.

Is it difficult to install myself? How do I make sure it doesn't leak oil anymore?

Your sensor, the 6C624-A, is located on the oil pan toward the passenger side. Its around $18 or so from Citrus Ford. You should order a new gasket to go with it, E9DZ-6700-B; that is around $2-3. The pressure switch, D4AZ-9278-A also leaks, and is up on the block toward the driver side. That's ~$5 from Citrus Ford.

Are you referring to the oil pressure sender or the oil level sensor? The pressure sender is up on the block below the number three cylinder. The oil level sensor is in the oil pan to the passenger side of the drain plug. Be careful which one you ask for.

Aha! I bet it's the pressure sender that I am thinking of. In any case, I think I'll go ahead and replace them both with new gaskets, since they are not that expensive.

You guys are a great help!

The oil pressure sender is about $3 at Autozone. Haven't checked on the oil level sender, but it shouldn't be much either.
