Is there a module that I can find the code for the keyless entry pad in these like the gen 2? I just bought this 97, and I have no code. Thanks!

under the dash, to the right of the steering column. Grey box with a 5 digit code on it. YOu can either take the box out and read it or use a digital camera and photoshop. The latter is the easiest

I have a '93 and if the code can't be found on a sticker on the inside of the trunk lid, you can remove (2 small bolts) the keyless entry module at the far left, looking into the trunk up against the seat back and the 5 digit code is on it.

What Chop said. You gotta get under the driver side and look up. When you get it, use a marker or something and write it down in the glove or in the trunk so you don't have to crawl around again when you forget.

i used a little dental mirror... my code had black electrical tape over one of the numbers however. and when i peeled it off it pulled the number with it, i was lucky to guess the right number on the 2nd try :)

That information unfortunatly is only for gen 1/2 with keyless entry. FOMOCO did away with the trunk thing for the gen 3.

mine was above the gas pedal with the number facing to the right. Had to use a small mirror and flashlight.

I found it. right where described. However I was able to see the number without any tools other than a flashlight. Just moved it a little with my hand and its right there on the side!

Does anyone have a picture of the numbers on the box. I've found the box I believe but it has alot of numbers printed on a sticker on the side. And also some numbers were ripped off when I removed black electrical tape.

Are the numbers really big and bold b/c I only see two before the tape covered these numbers up. I'll keep lookin, thanks.

Whoops, should have left that tape on and removed the RAP module to read the code. About 50% of the V8 SHOs have that electrical tape covering a portion of the number. If you still have the tape with the label stuck to the back, you may be able to read the mirror image of the numbers under a high-powered light, like a halogen light.

Next step is to have the dealer connect the NGS to read the code. Figure on spending an hour's labor with them.

I still have the tape. I tried to shine through it with a million candle light powered spot light, didn't work. I'll try the halogen light.

But I figured more of the numbers would be visible. I only had two... the big and bold ones??? It just doesnt seem like there was that much room for 3 more numbers.

Thanks Mr. A

Figured it out. I found part of two more numbers on the tape and had to figure out the last number. Kinda cool now that I can open the door with the keys locked in it... if that happened
