Pull the halfshaft out of the intermediate shaft here:

Or pull the halfshaft and intermediate shaft together and seperate them after, like this:

Just pull it out of the intermediate shaft. No need to take it out of the tranny unless you are doing clutch/tranny work.

Ahhh Duct Tape,.......I have a pair of pants repaired in just the same way, dont take it off it will last a couple washes
