when cold car wont idle! help!!

ok heres my problem.... its an odd one too... when its really cold out like lets say 0*f-35*f when i First start up the car it doesnt always want to idle and it will surge up and down... down as low as 400rpm or so and it normaly dies dead......

But when its warmer out or when the cars upto temp it runs like a champ... idles fine, drives fine....

any ideas on what could be wrong here?

p.s. my car is 100% stock Minus the addition of a turbo and a fmu. stock fuelsystem. 128k miles.

nope thats not it... i disabled it all together and itstill surges. my guess since its tempiture related that it may be the engine temp sensor..... but i need more ideas to say for sure since i have never had a problem with one before i dunno how it could affect the way the car runs. it seems that it runs overly rich when its extreamly cold out and its the first start of the day, takes some good reving to clear it out in the morning.

its a tuning MAF issue.

the car is idling up to warm up and with the extra air....the MAF is fugging up the computer.

same thing happens on my SC car.

yeah it Could be the maf.... i will look into that... i cleaned the maf and it Seemed to run better when cold. eh well as long as the weathers warm its all good lol
