I was outside and felt the clearence to the strut with my stock chromies today, not much mabey an inch, i wanted to know what width wheel people ususlly do with 18's and the offset. I was thinking about wheels that are 18x8 offset 55. I went to willtheyfit.com, a site tht shows you a diagram on how your existing set up will be to the new one based on the wheel and tire specs. Itll be the same poke with the fender, but would be more in, i would have to spacit out for a more aggressive look but not sure on strut clearence

Thanks
Joe

I have not tried 18s, but I think you need to plug in the width of the tire, as it is that which is going to be the potential contact problem for the strut. The widest that will clear under all use conditions is 245x45 for 16 inch wheels using the stock offset of, IIRC 45mm. An 18 inch wheel is going to be an inch higher toward the strut on its own, before you even consider sidewall height and width for the tire itself. And there is not a huge amount of room in the wells to alter the offset a lot.
