how do I get the freakin lock off if I do not have a key? I tried pounding a socket on it and it did not work, a chisel did not work, and I am out of ideas. I just got done taking everything off the front of the motor to change the timing cover gasket and dont want to put it all back together just to go find the damn key to get the freakin wheel off. Who would steal backetweaves anyway!?!

Air wratchet would probably take it off. If you haven't totally disfigured the thing.

I don't know what kind of relationship you have with your local dealer, but I'd go down to ford, and have them take it off. They only charged me $5 for the time. (I found the key the next day)

Is it a Ford lock? If not, go down to a parts store that carries wheel locks. They often carry a large supply of spare keys for them. You might just find one that'll match if you haven't disfigured the one on your car yet. Also, I know that around here Belle Tire and Discount tire has tons of keys for when they get a vehicle in with locks on it. Might try there also.

Try a pair of vise grips. Clip them on and use a bar for leverage or jump on them if you have to.

There are special sockets made just for removing wheel locks that people have lost the keys to. Any dealer or tire store should have a set.

If they are Ford locks then any dealer should have a set of master keys. I went to one and had them remove the locking lugs after loosing the key for the second time. Then threw them in the trash and put standard lugs on.

I pulled a couple of them out by drilling out the wheel stud. I started with a centering drill and proceeded to increse the diameter of the drill size until the lock fell off. I then hammered out the piece of stud left and replaced it with a new one. The whjole process took less than 1/2 hour.
