Finally had a few free mins. to jack up the sho and climb under it looking for my anti freeze leak. When I got under there, I had a good size puddle of coolant at the right side of the car, just below the firewall. Problem is, I can't see where it's coming from. Is the heater core inside the car, or is it outside, mounted somehow on the firewall? If it's inside, behind the dash on the right, i'm thinking that it's the hose connections since the antifreeze is outside and not all over my carpet. What's down there that could be leaking?

The hoses to the heater core are routed from the driver side of the engine, near the thermostat. There are two hoses (one feed and one return line) that route toward the firewall and then take a turn to the passenger side before turning again to meet the firewall about in the center of the car, about 6" below the top of the intake manifold. If your heater core is leaking, you would also smell coolant in the passenger compartment and have moisture problems on the inside of the windshield.
