We have installed a set of catless DP we bought from a member here and are having issues (obviously) with the CEL. We put some defoulers on and they work for a week or 2 and then the code will pop back up. Is it possible to take this to an exhaust shop and have them weld in some cats? If so, what cats would we want to order. Ideally I would like to leave it as it, it sounds awesome, but the tuners aren't really any help in this area. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Could probably do that, but I don't want to keep trying defoulers. Its my dads car, hes 80 years old and I don't have time to keep going over there to clear a code ect. haha

Get him a cheap code reader and teach him how to clear the code. Or, put the stock pipes back on.

Stock pipes are a no go, they were plugged. We are considering adding cats, just not sure which ones to add...

Would be easier and cheaper just to get a set of pipes that already have the cats. I still have my stock ones that had 32k miles on them, what part of country are you in?

Been thinking we are just going to add cats back in, do you guys know what part number we would need and what brand would work best so we don't have to worry about this anymore?

Not what I am looking to do. Too much down time involved and who knows what shape the other pipes are in.

The longest downtime will be waiting on new parts. Check Tasca if you want OEM and check PPE for performance aftermarket.

Get a tune "for off-road use only" and the downstream O2 sensors will be defeated. No more codes.

these are the mini cat we have currently that don't keep the cel off. Any recommendations for a better performing one?

Have you looked into the option that the sensors or wiring was damaged? Is it both banks or just one? Is there a reason you are avoiding a stock replacement?
