I need help gettting the correct name of the Sensor that attaches to the Stock Air Box, has an elec. plug going out of it, and has two vacumm lines that connect to it. Please help, also how much would I expect to pay for one?(When I bought my SHO it never came with it, so its time to add it on.)

Also called the Canister Purge Solenoid.
But I don't remember it actually attaching to the stock air box...

really? I was assuming it was the Air Charge Temperature Sensor..Hmmm...

The ACT sensor actually mounts IN the airbox and only has a single electrical connector going to it. There are no vacuum hoses attached to it.

Well...Help then...I have a hole in my Lower Air Box, that needs a sensor. I have a Eletc plug nearby, small rectangular in shape I think, and I have two small HARD plasitc Vacumm lines that strech out to that air box area, one is connected to the back of the intake manifold, and the other to the EGR valve.

DO I need two parts? the ACT For Sure, and this canister...where is it located? The Hard Vacumm lines I speak of, then opposite sides of them are near the airbox, and are plugged. Could It be im missing the canister too? Does the canister only have the vacumm lines goind to it or what? Help Please.

NOW I still have one small Rectangular Plug and Two Hard Plastic Vacumm Lines that are near the Air Box, Would these go to that canister you speak of?

Can you snap a picture and post it? It would really make this much easier.

Ok, that electrical connector is not supposed to be connected to anything. The vacuum lines should go from the DPFE sensor the EGR solenoid. Since I've never seen a CA MTX SHO in person, I can't say where the DPFE sensor and EGR solenoid are supposed to be, but I can see that the DPFE sensor is not installed in the typical location on the back of the intake in your pictures.

I don't have a Gen I shop manual handy, so I can't verify the locations for you at the moment, but there should be some indication of the routing on the vacuum diagram on your radiator sight shield.

I'm not saying that there are any parts missing.

There are three main components to the EGR system: The EGR valve which is clearly mounted to the driver's side rear of the motor, the DPFE sensor which is a rectangular silver box which is usually mounted to the rear of the intake in close proximity to the EGR (but just by looking at your intake in the pix, I don't see the usual mounting bosses for the DPFE which tells me it might have been somewhere else on early CA MTX cars), and the EGR solenoid which directs manifold vacuum to open the EGR valve.

Hmmm..okay, now that EGR soleniod, would that be the missing link that should be connected to the other side of the hard plastic lines in my pics?
