I just recently did a brake job and put on some Bendix Titanium Metallic pads. I hate them. They make my wheels SO dirty it's disgusting. I had PFCM before these and really liked them. I wish they made them for the 96 upgrade. I'm considering the Carbotech's but have read that they dust a good amount also. I want a pad that stops very well and doesn't dust much, if any at all. Anyone have any experience with the KVRs or Auto Specialties that are sold on SPMotorsports or the EBC Green Stuff on Tire Rack? Thanks alot guys.

I think the only problem is that brake pads that vent heat well and proned to make wheels dirty. You may be stuck.

I understand that the padds will make the wheels dirty. I can deal with that, I just want some pads that aren't going to dust as much. One week of dusting with the Bendix pads is equivalent to 3 weeks of dusting with the PFCM pads.

I'm looking into the EBC Green Stuff pads. Perhaps I'll be a guinea pig for the SHO.

The CarboTech F and Hawk HP S pads dust lightly and the dust color itself is a light grey, so it's less noticable. The CarboTech Panther / Panther Plus pads as well as the Hawk HP Plus pads are very agressive, almost too agressive for street use and they dust heavily. Very dark dust, looks like every mid to late 80's and early '90's BMW, not fun to keep clean, but who cares when you running on the track wink

They do. AutoZone carried them and I installed them back in January on a '93 MTX with the '96 upgrade.

They do? I looked on Autozone's site and PFCM's site and they both said that they weren't availble for the 96 and on SHO. Hmm maybe I'll have to look again.

You guys talk about brake pads like the most important factor in choosing a brand is the amount of dust it makes. Performance first. Remember that we drive a family car because it hauls ass. Not because it's easy to keep clean.

I want something that's going to perform great but I don't have to clean 2-3 days later because they dust so much.

I've thought of buying some Raybestos pads, as I've heard they're great. I'm not too concerned about brake dust buildup, as it doesn't look too horrible on the basketweaves.
