Got my 2015 a few weeks ago. The Dealer changed the oil with the Motorcraft Syn blend when I picked it up
I just had it changed to Pennzoil Pure Platinum Full Synthetic. I can actually feel the difference. Runs real nice.
Also put a can of BG44K in as well.

No point to BG44K. Your fuel system is continuously cleaned by a highly effective solvent - ethanol alcohol.

Ethanol is also a corrosive. And despite having detergents in gasoline, buildup does occur in the fuel system even with Top Tier product. The real question is how effective these products are in direct injection situations, the data there is practically nil from a technical/laboratory perspective. Anecdotally, BG 44K does help on the Gen 4+ SHOs.

SHOdded,
I have never used a gas treatment before and have 94,000 miles on my 2011. I priced a can locally for $23.49 for 11 oz. and wonder if it would be worth trying a can?
Thanks

That's curious, because my experience is that Motorcraft semi-synthetic is better than any Pennzoil product...

Do not run the Motorcraft fluid.

Tuned SHO with 8900 miles had engine failure. Ford said no warranty after seeing how bad the oil was and claimed they didn't change oil on schedule....then he pointed out the 10k recommended interval and how his car only had 8900 miles...instantly covered it.

If that isn't enough, good luck to you.

If your SHO is running well and there are no overt symptoms (rough idle or lower mpg, ...) and you don't cheap out on gas, you probably don't need to run an FI cleaner. But it shouldn't hurt either. It does nothing for the back of the intake valves, just as a reminder, since fuel does not wash over them in a DI setup. Which is good, because if you have carbon buildup on the back of the intake valves, you wouldn't want to risk chunking it into the combustion chamber/turbos.

Does stuff like Amsoil PI or BG44K have any effect on 93 tunes? I guess what I am asking related the the octane or performance of the 93 tune... Maybe Jamie can chime in on this as well......Rich

On my '98 SHO I run Royal Purple oil & Royal Purple filter. I had run Mobil 1 on the '98 until a couple of years ago. On the '14 SHO I run Redline oil & Royal Purple filter. I run BG44K every 3000 miles or so on the '14. Do some research (Youtube) on the direct injection system and you'll see why I feel it is a wise decision to use some BG44k.

Have used 104+ on a non-DI engine. Liked the effect, did not like the reddish/orange stuff it left on the spark plugs. I have yet to try ACES, which seems to actually improve the octane numbers, you should talk to Brian (yes, actually talk to him) at

I run 4qts of Amsoil signature series 0w30 wit 2qts of amsoil Dominator 15w50. Comes out to a 12.45cst at 100°c. Effectivly at the max of the 30 weight 12.5cst limit. Changed at 10k. This new batch I will change at 7500-8k. Amsoil filter.
