Okay, here's the story. I've been having a front end wobble between 40-50 mph. My first thought was that the wheels were out of balance or bent. Had the wheels balanced for $35........still wobbled. Okay, it's probably wheel bearings. Had the wheel bearings and brakes replaced for $300..........still wobbled. Okay, it's probably a front end alignment. Had the front end alligned for $40...........still wobbled. By now, I'm getting ticked at this MONEY PIT! I took my car to a local shop and had them check out all of my cv joints/shafts, and they all checked out okay. I don't know what to check next??? Any ideas? I still believe it has somthing to do with one of the front shafts. Any help would be greatly appreciated!:nut:

can you be more specific on the wobble? is it the whole car or jsut the steering wheel? could it be something loose in the steering column?

Yeah, I know it's hard to discern things like "wobble" in a thread!:nut: It feels just like one of the front rims would be bent, that's the kind of wobble. It's definantly comming from the front end, and only between 40-50mph. By the way, I swapped wheels with my brother (he also has a sho) just to rule out the bent rim/broken tire cord, and my car still wobbled..........his drove fine. So, I'm back to step one.:nut: I really think I'm going to take it back to have my CV shafts replaced. It has to be them???????

When my half shafts went bad, it drove me nuts. I swapped virtually everything but the shafts. The symtoms were that I would get a vibration between 40 and 50 only when accelerating. I am slowing down or braking between 40 and 50 no vibration. No clicks while turning either.

Jedhead, thanks so much! That is when my car does the wobble......between 40-50 while accelerating only. I guess I should have mentioned that earlier. This makes me feel better about my assumption that it's the cv shafts! No clicks here either, I think that's because it's the inner joints that are bad. Thanks again.:thumb:
