Suspension: Tokico/Eibach combo.

Brakes: You need new pads, not new rotors (unless you want a big brake kit). Look for some Hawk HPS pads.

thats whats What I thought.but when you hit the brakes at high speed the front end shakes bad,and why not eibach- koni, since they are fully adjustable.I would also like to give it a more stiff feel I dont know if full subframe connectors are the way or poly bushings all over What do you think remember I am only working with 2grand thates parts and labor.what do you think

Tokico/eibach with 22/26 sway bars is what I would do. I have this but with 24 up front. Great combination. It is great on the highway, but firms up real good for tight corners, almost no body roll. I am very happy with it for my daily driven SHO. If I had another car, I would get Koni/Eibach, but then you have to assemble the struts, just a PITA. With new mounts and bushings, and some Aluminum subframe bushings, you will have a great handling SHO.

I went with Koni/Eibach and am very happy with it - Well worth the extra money and effort.

As for brakes, if you don't plan on tracking the car the stock setup with Hawk HPS pads will be more then sufficient for daily driving and occasional hard use. I plan on driving my car harder than most so I bought the brake upgrade from SHO Parts NW. It works very well and fits under slicers if I need it to.

so If i go with tokico eibach combo all I need Is the camber adjustment kit.I was told that If i get the eibach/koni combo i will need adjustable control arms or the alignement wont be right .is this true?also when a car wobbles when you hit the brakes doesnt that mean you need new rotors?or can they just be turned also when I come to a stop you can hear a creaking noise dont know what that is?please any suggestions, the sound is driving me nuts also it doesnt feel all that comfortable to have front end whobble at high speeds

With the extra $ I would consider fresh bushings, a set of subframe connectors, and maybe better subframe bushings. A set of strut tower braces will help handling a bit too. sfc's and stb's will make the car handle much better.

$2000? Here is what I would do;

Midwest SHO
Complete Suspension Kit with optional Koni struts and Intrax springs.
$1039
link
Tubular rear control arms
$329.99
H-Brace
$69.99
link

shopartsnw
PBR brake upgrade
$500 (?? I am not positive on the price, so do not quote me??)

This comes to a total of $1938.98. That leaves you a few bucks to cover shipping, provided my recollection of the brake kit price is correct. Of course, you should still optimize your swaybars, refresh all the suspension bushings, add strut tower braces, and get some subframe connectors, but this is a **** of a good start.

I had tokico intrax on greenbean and it was great until the springs and everything broke in and then it rode firmer than some race cars ive driven. If your into aggressive rides then the intrax are great, but i agree with everyone else. The eibach seems to have a nicer daily drive ride to it. I loved the tokicos :thumb:

I am going with eibach/tokico combo, and I am getting the camber kit, full alignement tire rotation balance, new indaglo reverse gauges, midwest front and rear rotors, brake flush, new hawk pads, and fix my fog lights since I bought new ones and they didnt work cause there was no juice running to the wires. grand total $ :nut: 3500 this will be a good start at stiffening the sho.

dang thats a bummer... man its all work you can do by your self!

Get a manual... its all presicion and all you need to do is be able to use a ratchet... undo a few bolts... re move... and replace! it would save you a ton of $. but if your not the hands on kind of person then let some1 who knows what to do- leave it to them.

IMO- im just trying to save you $ for maybe other things you may need to keep the sho running.
** just my 2 cents...

At least do the brakes yourself. I would do the suspension myself too. Very simple other than the camber kit. I bet they could put it on after you installed the springs and struts yourself. Just my $.02 to save you some coin.

What's that?? All these people and only one had intrax? :nut: what's so bad about intrax?

I vote for... Intrax/Tokico, Al-SFBs, FSTB, RSTB, SFCs, and a 24/26mm bar combo. I like it stiff ;) (<---get your minds out of the gutter)

*edit.. you can see in my sig pic the Intrax after/before pics. :thumb:

you could probly go to a shop and have then assemble the struts for you for like $20. it would be alot safer then using the cheapo AZ spring compresssors.

Are those intrax uncut?

I'm going to be buying springs for my silver car after the coilovers go on the pumpkin, and am debating between Eibachs and Intrax. I've seen conflicting data over how much each lowers or doesn't lower the car.

Or just buy the good ones from Sears for $50.

or just wish you did, when something goes wrong somehow, and you have to rent the compressors, again :nut:

They are un-cut Intrax on stock struts.
