Can anyone explain to me what this is ?? The Ford dealer said it's a temperature control lockout(?) - also, it's discountinued, so where can I get one - anyone have an extra one ?? thanks

Where did that come off from there are 2 sensors for temp. The ect with tells the fan when to come on and off and then there is the temp sensor that sends the temperature of the engine to the dash. I can't tell witch one it is of it that is even it. The Ect is near the t-stat if i remember to the right of it and the temp sensor is to the left of the t-stat....

That would be tempature sensor #3..the CELO (cold engine lockout)..it tells the climate controls what tempature the coolant is. In AUTO mode on your ETAC; until that sensor tells the unit the coolat is ~100F; it won't turn the inside heater fan on.

I thought the CELO kept the A/C compressor from running until the coolant warmed up?? The PCM uses this sensor for both functions maybe? Try any aftermarket supplier for the sensor.
