what is the suspension part that needs to be welded sometimes?

hey guys, i tried to search but didnt come up with much. i recall seeing a post a while back that showed some1 had just tack-welded something in the suspensio to strengthen it, and it stopped clunking. i have this issue when my car goes over speed bumps or around this corner i take almost everyday that has a slight dip midcorner. and i get a clunk.

i am sure that it could be my front subframe bushings also...i have engine movement under hard accelleration, and when i have the car at a stop, indrive and foot on the brake and tap the gas, i get a clunk...but i dont recall it sounding/and feeling the same as the cornering clunk. but it could be the same issue.
