When I turn my heater on the AC clutch keeps cycling on and off causing my idle to bounce and sometimes my engine will even stall out. Is there a wire to disconnect or a fuse that I could pull?

There is a 15amp fuse on your fuse panel just to the top left of where the turn flasher is supposed to be (big round circuilar place, mine doesn't have this fuse but the spot for it is there) if you're looking at it sideways after the panel is flipped down. That runs the clutch circuit, but I think the climate control is also on this circuit. doh

First, IMHO, it's WAY too soon to be turning on the heater!!! squint Anyway, if you want you can just disconnect the A/C coil connector right at the compressor.

It's been getting a little nipply at night here in Rochester, NY. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw snowflakes tomorrow because the weather here sucks monkey #@**$. BTW, where is the A/C cycling switch?

The A/C cycling switch (aka low pressure switch)is on top of the accumulator/dryer, which is the thermos bottle sized canister below the battery in the corner where the right inner fender meets the radiator support.

You can look in a service manual for a picture or diagram at the local library in the reference section. rangerj

Yeah, I've neglected to repair my A/C for over the last two summer. So now, which I believe is the clutch just dangles off in the center of this pulley. When I engage the blowers, the A/C pulley makes this loud clicking noise, and sounds like trying to stop a metal fan with a screwdriver.

Will disconnecting this cycling switch help in my case? The only time this noise doesn't happen is when I have the blower in the FLOOR function. I need to use particularly the Windshield function for the winter time to defog the window and I should have the repair the A/C pulley for this right. I need heat.

I did this last year when mine was low on a charge. The plug is directly down from the rad cap. Its on the top of the canaster. There is a metal pipe welded to it that travles up under the battery and up to the firewall.

The A/C compressor doesn't run with the climate control set to VENT or FLOOR. Just use one of these settings and leave the wires alone because you may need the moisture control from the compressor when using the defroster.

It sounds like you should have bought your second hood latch along with that second hood. Why did the hood come unlatched? Why didn't the safety latch keep the hood from launching? Fix what's wrong or you can keep buying new hoods.
