I just responded to the topic that was deleted, darn it. The constant control relay module under the driver side of the plastic panel above the radiator contains the relays for the radiator fan, fuel pump, A/C compressor clutch and one other component, but will not prevent a spark. You can get a new one at Ford or an suto parts store. They are not unique to the SHO.

so if the fan, fuel pump are working properly, does that mean it is ok, and another person told me a couple of days ago that ccrm can cause a no spark condition.

half-way there, I think.

Scott,

Correct me if I'm wrong - the CCRM also powers the PCM/EEC. No power to the eec, means no spark.

The CCRM would only be able to cause a "No Spark" condition" if the EEC Power relay were defective. If it were defective, none of the other relays would be able to energize as their coils are supplied with power via the EEC relay as is the PCM itself.

Therefore, if the other relays energize under the control of the EEC/PCM, the EEC relay has to be good.

E-mail if you you need direct assistance.

Hmmm....Interesting - when mine failed, the fuel pump relay still fired. Then again I couldn't retrieve any codes or even get an CEL light with the car on.

Neither of the fuel pump relays can energize unless the EEC relay energizes as the coil power for them is supplied via the EEC relay.

If the FP relays were energizing without the EEC relay energized, there had to have been additional electronic faults within the CCRM.
