What Does This Mean

Finally got my sho running good my engine light desides to come on so i run the code check and i got a code 327 running .. key on and stored ..i know it has somthing to do with the egr .. i believe .. my question is would this be related to the egr valve itself or egr pressure sensor on the rear of the intake.. or am i way off ....any info would be greatly apreciated thanx

what does DPFE, or pfe for that matter stand for?

is your egr hooked up propperly (have you disasembled the intke or other)?
maybe clean it, or get another.

i believe it stands for Differential Pressure Feedback EGR... the egr is hooked up proporly and th in take has and was cleaned a month ago nostrils included

According to the Dali Design three digit code list

the 327 code is " EGR feedback signal is/was low - EVR or PFE" which means it could be a problem with the EVR or the DPFE sensor (or their circuits).

In addition, it seems that the SHO (like other Fords) can develop issues with the EGR system getting all coked up with carbon and other exhaust-related crud, so you might want to check the pressure lines and their connections, the DPFE sensor ports, etc.

ty ..well i just replaced the DPFE sensor i had air coming threw th old one but my gut told me it was bad so i went out shelled out the 60 bucks poped it in reset the codes and now no lights or codes so i think for once my gut did me right ty all for your help
